Municipal Campsite Le Galan, Landes, South west of France

“Le Galan” is the municipal camp site of Castets-des-Landes, a village of 2,500 people. Find out more about the county town of Castets.

Its favoured geographical position on the Paris – Madrid motorway route and 20 minutes from the Landes coast has led to an extended opening period from 1st February to 30th November. Your requests for information and bookings can be processed all year round. Groups, please contact us.

The “Le Galan” municipal camp site is 3-star rated and is ideal for family holidays or a relaxing break.

Two or three times a week from 10.00 to 12.00 the children’s club welcomes all live wire kids aged 4 to 11. Every Monday evening the Le Galan team offers you a welcome drink to start your holiday off in the right spirit Every week you can join in games of petanque and the summer challenge: throwing pine cones. On Fridays the tourist office arranges walks or cycle rides in the forest. The Castets kayaking club invites you to discover the local flora and fauna as you canoe down the River La Palue

Our camp site is located in a conservation area. The Landes forest with its hiking trails, footpaths and marked mountain bike circuits is just a few steps away. The River La Palue runs down below. To preserve this beautiful green area, the whole village is committed to selective recycling of household waste. We ask you to do likewise. Together we should show respect for nature. The town of Castets has been classified as a Green Holiday Destination for several years
